0727-002-1011 Job Type: Permanent Title: Research Analyst Location: Far Northwest Suburbs – Chicago Area Description: Summary/Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Research Analyst position is to prepare Client Reviews as requested for Financial Advisors in the office. Review current list of approved products (mutual funds/variable annuities/direct participation programs/etc.) Review client stock portfolios/create model portfolios. Present research at Planner’s Meetings. Research new products not on approved list and make recommendations. Keep accurate record of Client Reviews that need to be done/completed. Pull Files/Run Reports/Create Morningstar Reports/get current statements/obtain OA from assistant/check for complete beneficiary information/fill out Advisory Account Annual Review Forms, New Account Forms, Client Review agendas, and folders. Update Issues/Concerns and provide a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire Work with Advisors to create Financial Plans/Asset Allocations with Financial Planning Software as needed. Enter necessary information into SmartWorks or Money Guide Pro and meet back with the Advisor as needed. Make use of knowledge of financial planning resources to build meaningful financial plan that for Advisors. Develop retirement timelines for clients who do not require a full financial plan. Requirements: Knowledge/education to be able to do financial plans/client reviews/other planning-related tasks required. Series 6 license (or other NASD licenses) and knowledge of the financial planning industry required. Comprehensive understanding of Financial Planning software (such as Money Guide Pro/Smartworks) and ability to convey that understanding to others in the office required.
