0736-001-811 Job Type: Permanent Title: Sales Specialist Location: Chicago Description: Summary/ Responsibilities: Sales Specialists are responsible for travel within their respective sales territory, maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development for new products as well as enhancements to existing products. The successful candidate is responsible for positioning/closing sales of quantitative investment decision support tools (multi-factor models/portfolio optimization models/indices) to current/prospective clients. Sales Associates use their knowledge of the investment management process/modern portfolio theory/data model distribution platforms to identify solutions using all available tools. Involvement in all aspects of the account including senior level relationship management/product demonstrations/contract negotiation/sales closing/product setup/delivery. You will work closely with global Client Service/Client Consultants/Marketing/Product Management/Finance/Billing departments. Relationship Management; High Level Management Contact; Strategic Planning; New Product Placement. Answer client inquiries about products/methodologies. Inform clients about products/announcements/projects. Work with Client Service/Legal/Contracts/Billing to ensure that all client requests/inquiries are managed. Maintain accurate records regarding account visits/client conversations/finalized contracts. Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development. Provide feedback from clients to Marketing/Sales/Research/Product Development groups. Requirements: 1-3 years sales experience with a proven record of accomplishment 5-10 years of experience in the financial service industry BA required; MBA or CPA preferred Strong communication/time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects Strong sales closing background required Strong analytic/quantitative skills required Previous experience dealing with Asset Managers/Hedge Funds/Broker Dealers/Pension Plans/Consultants required Strong understanding of the global equity and fixed income markets required Thorough understanding of the Investment Management Process required Travel is required Category: Alternative Investments // Asset Management // Banking // Broker Dealer // Consulting // Sales and Marketing Contact: matt@bcius.com |
